CSUF Startup Incubator Resident John Barton has launched his Live Work Play app to the public today. John has been working with the North Orange County Chamber of Commerce to develop an app for their members and the area of North Orange County to better connect companies in their area with community members. The mission of the app is to bring communities together.

John announced the launch of the app to the public at the annual awards dinner tonight for the North Orange County Chamber of Commerce.

“I’m so glad to have been working with the North Orange County Chamber to introduce the Live Work Play mobile app this evening.  I hope you’ve all had a chance to download it. There are plenty of opportunities to promote your discounts and advertise your business as we move forward to grow this great new tool!”

At Point ‘N Save, we create mobile apps and licenses these apps to businesses. We have found a niche with Chambers of Commerce because we solve many problems that they face on a daily basis.First, many chambers have trouble getting members to know about upcoming events without being emailed the events that they have coming up. Second, members also feel that they can be getting more out of their membership. And lastly, chambers struggle connecting with a younger demographic of business owners and potential members. The apps that we create for these chambers solves these problems by:

  • Showing upcoming events for the week. Where users can call the event organizer, get directions to the event and also RSVP.
  • Highlighting members businesses through discounts and sponsorship. Users can click on a discount/business to call the business, get directions to the business or visit their site.
  • Attracting the next generation of members by having their own custom mobile app for potential interested members.
