CSUF Startup Incubator Resident Inks Deal With Chamber of Commerce

John Barton and CSUF Entrepreneurship Director John Bradley Jackson at the CSUF Startup Incubator

The CSUF Startup Incubator is proud of the progress that John Barton, the founder of Point ‘N Save, has made since joining the Incubator last year. During that time, John has worked most closely with Dr. Deborah Ferber and focused on pivoting his business into what it is today: An app called Live Work Play that is a resource for communities.

Coming soon, John will be launching the Live Work Play app with the North Orange County Chamber and has already secured members who want to advertise their business inside the app.

Live Work Play is an app that connects community members with local businesses. While it may live on a phone made of parts that have traveled much further than most readers of this article ever will, Point ‘N Save is all about promoting a small town feel even in large cities. Being able to look on an app like John’s and find those hidden gems is of tremendous value for the average person and for businesses alike.

And here is the official press release from the North Orange County Chamber of Commerce announcing their partnership with John:

Are you looking to connect with new markets and increase your customer base?

The North Orange County Chamber is launching a brand new mobile application, providing advertising opportunities to businesses and discounts to consumers. Developed by John Barton of Point ‘N Save, the “Live Work Play” mobile app is designed to deliver the best that North Orange County has to offer to those who live, work and play here.

Businesses have the opportunity to expand their market by purchasing ad space that will lead users to their respective websites. “The app aims to reach members and potential customers where they are the most – their phones,” says Barton.

Company logos rotate every three to five seconds on the home screen of the app, making them the first things users see after they log in. A “My Discounts” tab provides space for businesses to advertise promotions and discounts for consumers to use. App users can also view and RSVP for upcoming events hosted by the Chamber and its members.

The app is scheduled to debut in June, but advance opportunities are now available by contacting the Chamber at (714) 871-3100 or visiting the website at http://www.nocchamber.com/liveworkplayapp

We are looking forward to more news from John on this.

UPDATE (April 19, 2019): This article on John was favorited by Julie Virjee, the wife of CSUF President Fram Virjee, on Twitter! Way to go, John!
