About the presenters:

Mike Gellman spent 11 years in a Fortune 500 company as an organizational consultant and career coach overseeing talent management and succession planning. He successfully works with executives, business owners, and employees to help facilitate succession planning, high potential leader development programs, and employee engagement and organizational change efforts. He is an ACC certified coach with a master’s degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology and teaches interpersonal communication for Brandman University as an adjunct instructor. He recently served as one of six judges for the ICF International PRISM Award which identifies and evaluates companies around the world with the best coaching cultures. He authored Pipe Dreams: 7 Pipelines of Career Success and created the Career Catapult: 4 Essentials of Career Mastery course which empowers employees to take greater ownership of their careers. Additionally, Mike created a nationally recognized, award winning mentorship program for the ATD-San Diego chapter that recently celebrated its 20-year anniversary of developing future leaders.

LaVasha Cain-Lobbins M.Ed., PMP, CMP, has over 17 years of experience as an innovative business leader managing programs, developing leaders, and driving transformational change across business departments. Currently, she is an instructor of project management at the University of California Irvine. Through her business Coach LaVasha and consulting projects, she has been called upon to coach new college graduates, emerging under-represented leaders, and newly appointed mid-level executives in companies like Medtronic, Neurocritical Care Society, and Bunker Hill Community College, to name a few. She has coached hundreds of people to empower them to be more effective communicators, leaders, and team members. She is passionate about professional development and growth that improves people, processes, and ignites measurable business outcomes.

LaVasha earned her Master’s degree in Education and Human Resource Development from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Marketing from the University of Central Florida. She is a Certified DISC + Values Coach, Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) and Project Management Professional (PMP). She served as a Board Member with the American Marketing Association, American Diabetes Association, American Society of Training & Development, Healthcare Public Relations & Marketing Association of Southern California, was former president of Toastmasters International Club #9661 Unimasters in Orange County and Executive Director & Founder of Fight Stroke Now foundation, (a community healthcare empowerment training initiative).
