Introducing Neel A. Pinge – EVP, Chief Risk Officer of Commercial Bank of California – The Newest CSUF Entrepreneurship Advisory Board Member

The Center for Entrepreneurship at Cal State Fullerton is proud to announce the addition of Neel A. Pinge, the Executive Vice President and Chief Risk Officer at Commercial Bank of California to its Advisory Board!

Neel A. Pinge joined Commercial Bank of California (CBC), as Executive Vice President, Chief Risk Officer in November 2018. Mr. Pinge has extensive knowledge in enterprise risk management, financial structuring and analytics, community banking specifically targeting commercial, industrial, corporate, and consumer banking products.  Mr. Pinge is responsible for governing risk management framework and risk function including but not limited to identifying, analyzing, monitoring and mitigating firms internal and external risk exposure. The position insures banking compliance with banking regulations and ensures effective governance of enterprise, operational, information security, financial, and compliance related risks.

Mr. Pinge has served Chief Risk Officer for banking entities, which include Far East National Bank, and Macquarie Bank (USA), over a period ranging 20 years in the banking business. In these roles he was responsible for transaction approvals, deal structuring, credit risk and management, contract & legal management and deal executions for new products as well as managing transactional banking and financial facilities.  In addition, Mr. Pinge served as a managing partner for Crestwood Midstream Partners, launched by private equity firms, Kayne Anderson, GSO and Blackstone. He was responsible for all investment related activities, risk analytics, mergers and acquisitions and financial proforma evaluations. His involvement with Reliance Industries Limited in the earlier years exposed Mr. Pinge to the Office of the Chairman and Managing Director where he was associated with raising share capital through public and private offerings both on both on national and international fronts. Such offerings included Euro Issues, Euro Bonds, Preferential Stock and fully and partially convertible debentures with financial institutions and foreign institutional investors.

Mr. Pinge is a registered professional engineer and holds Bachelors in Science in Mechanical Engineering (honors) (1993) and Master in Business Administration (Finance) (1998) alongside other financial and computer programming certifications. In addition, he has pursued executive certification coursework in Mergers and Acquisitions with Wharton School Of Business, PA.
