So many students have great business ideas but they don’t pursue their dreams because they don’t know where to start. That’s where BUAD 410 comes in.

In this class, students are challenged to develop a business plan based off of a concept of their own or from one of the other students in the class. These plans cover every critical aspect of launching a business. Topics that are covered include:

• Discovering who your customers are and why understanding what their actual pain points are so that you can develop a more powerful solution for them
• How to develop a winning marketing strategy for your business
• What all is involved with the nuts and bolts of starting a business from an operational perspective
• Creating full financial projections for your business
• Pitching your business to potential investors and experts in the entrepreneurial space

This class is not easy and requires a lot of work on the part of each student in the creation of the business plan. There is only so much that can be covered in class and students are regularly challenged to stretch their intellectual faculties beyond what they are normally required to do. With that being said, students who are serious about launching a business learn a lot from this class. One of the biggest reasons people put off starting a business is because they don’t think they know enough about business to get one off the ground and this class was built to demystify the business launch process for students and equip them with the knowledge they need to launch a business.

Every student who already isn’t majoring in Entrepreneurship but wants to start a business should take BUAD 410 on Tuesday nights from 7pm to 9:45pm and if it fits in your schedule you owe it to yourself to take this class.
