Recent entrepreneurial grads, check this out: Venture for America

Venture for America

I found out about Venture for America through Sudeshna Majumdar-Fragomeni and I love their mission:

Venture for America is creating economic opportunity in American cities by mobilizing the next generation of entrepreneurs and equipping them with the skills and resources they need to create jobs.

And VFA founder, Andrew Yang, had this to say:

The best way to teach entrepreneurship? Apprenticeship. Our Fellows get a front row seat to what it takes to raise money, sell something new to customers, and make tough decisions.

Recruit and Select

With a reach of over 300 colleges and universities, we recruit recent graduates who are smart, ambitious and looking to do something challenging with their careers. Our rigorous application and selection makes sure that we find Fellows who are able to add value to early stage startups.

Train Them to Become Entrepreneurs

The best way to become an entrepreneur is to learn from one. We connect recent college grads with jobs in startups and early-stage companies. When our Fellows see someone building a business first-hand, it lets them see that they can, too.

Connect Them to Jobs in Cities That Need Talent

Rather than funnel more college grads to just a handful of places, we connect our Fellows with opportunities in cities with emerging entrepreneurial eco-systems. The companies where they work contribute to job growth and economic progress in those cities and the Fellows themselves become part of a new community.

Support Them in Starting Their Own Companies

Through our network of investors and experts, we support and encourage our Fellows to start their own companies. When they are ready, we are here to help them launch their businesses.
