For Cal State Fullerton’s entrepreneurship students the semester is already well underway. Many of them will be meeting with their CSUF Consulting clients soon and they are also already hard at work developing businesses in their New Venture Launch and New Venture Creation courses. They are busy!
And it’s an exciting time for many other reasons as well.
I’m happy to announce this year’s Titan Fast Pitch competition on October 21. At this competition, university and high school students have the opportunity to present their business concepts to our judges. It’s an exhilarating experience for the students as they only have sixty seconds to present their concepts. Why sixty seconds? It’s certainly not enough time to fully explain everything a potential investor or partner needs to know about a business but we chose that amount of time because it is approximately the amount of time an entrepreneur has to initially pique someone’s interest in their concept.
And, as many great speakers have said in the past, it is much more difficult to boil down the essence of what it is they are talking about into a short amount of time than it is to talk at length. What we are looking for in this competition are students who have given enough thought to their concepts so that they can articulately impress upon our judges the importance of their concepts.
We are also excited about the continued growth of the CSUF Startup Incubator. As of this writing, we have accepted a total of 26 startups into our incubator to help them go from concept to launch. This semester, our students will be consulting with a handful of these startups to help them work through their concepts and develop robust startup plans alongside the expert mentoring that these startups receive from CSUF Startup Incubator staff and their startup coaches.
Additionally, we will be hosting a wide range of seminars and office hours at the CSUF Startup Incubator and at the CSUF Irvine campus. Take a look below to see the full list of opportunities we have for members of the CSUF Entrepreneurship community.

| The next generation of entrepreneurs will be presenting their innovative concepts at the Titan Fast Pitch competition on Saturday, October 21 from 1pm to 4pm at Cal State Fullerton!
We encourage all university and high school students with a passion for entrepreneurship to compete at the Titan Fast Pitch.
