Founded in 1994, Mischler Financial Group is a minority investment bank and institutional brokerage, owned and operated by Service-Disabled-Veterans and headquartered in Newport Beach California. Our Accounting and Finance department is seeking an experienced accounting specialist to join our team with room to grow! This position reports to the Controller. Position will be filled by a Military Veteran.
What you will need:
Military Experience
This position will be filled by a Military Veteran
Degree in accounting or finance preferred
3 years of hands-on-accounting experience (preferably in financial service area)
Good understanding of generally accepted accounting principals
Proficient with Peachtree and Microsoft Office suite
Perform accounting duties such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank and credit card reconciliations, posting to general ledger
Support with audit preparation and maintain financial department records
Ability to thrive in deadline-driven environment
