This is the sixth year in a row that we will be hosting the CSUF Business Plan Competition and, in my opinion at least, this competition is a great way for CSUF students to get their entrepreneurial feet wet. This competition is for every student who has an idea that they think would make for a great business and, hopefully, this competition will get them started down the road to becoming an entrepreneur. Applications are due March 5 so make sure to get your application in quickly!
More info on the CSUF Business Plan Competition is in this edition of the CSUF Entrepreneurship Insider along with a lot of other great stuff and a list of upcoming events.
The CSUF Business Plan Competition was created for all CSUF students with creative concepts that they think would make for a good business. In other words, this competition is all about encouraging CSUF students to take their first steps in becoming an entrepreneur. Completing a short application is the first step for entering the CSUF Business Plan Competition. The purpose of this application is to help us understand what the student’s concept is and how well they have thought it through. Applications are due Sunday, March 5 at 11:55pm; make sure to get your application in or, if you’re not a current CSUF student, encourage those in your network who are to enter this competition. There are multiple rounds to this competition that culminates in the CSUF Business Plan Competition Finals on April 14. All are welcomed to the Finals but only the top competitors will be vying for a share of over $5,000 in scholarships and $10,000 in in-kind awards (consulting time with some of our mentors from our program). There will also be opportunity drawings for those in attendance. For those who enter this competition mentors will be made available to help in the development of the your concept and to help you prepare for presentations. Please go to the CSUF Business Plan Competition site for a full list of rules and more information on how to enter this competition. We look forward to seeing all of the innovative concepts that come out of this competition and hopefully some will follow through and start a business that changes their lives and benefits the world! Sincerely,
John Bradley Jackson |
