From Classroom Setback to Entrepreneurial Success: Ray Fuentes’ Journey as a CSUF Entrepreneur

Ray Fuentes CSUF

Ray Fuentes is a CSUF grad who knows what it means to keep going when things don’t go your way.

In this new video interview, Ray talks about pitching his business idea—Rosa Packs—during an entrepreneurship class at Cal State Fullerton. It didn’t get selected. But instead of walking away, he launched it anyway.

That persistence paid off. Rosa Packs ended up being sold in retail stores like Tilly’s, with all proceeds going toward helping at-risk kids go on field trips. It’s a powerful example of what can happen when you believe in your idea and stay mission-driven.

Ray also reflects on his time working at Linqto, supporting the fintech space, and what it really takes to succeed as an entrepreneur today. He shares advice for students and founders alike: sit in the front row, ask questions, and don’t be afraid to look a little foolish—because that’s how you grow.
