The Perfect Pitch for Lean Entrepreneurs Event

Our friends at the Paul Merage School of Business at UC Irvine are hosting an amazing event aimed at helping entrepreneurs craft the perfect pitch for their business. If you don’t think this is important think again because a polished pitch is what helped Daniela Bolzmann ’10 start WeDeliver in Chicago. Being able to boil down the essentials of your business into a concise story is absolutely crucial for a number of reasons including: obtaining funding, crystallizing your business in your and your stakeholders’ minds and it’s also helpful in explaining your business to your customers. Basically, if you do not have a good pitch for your business you will miss out on a lot of opportunities.

This is where The Perfect Pitch for Lean Entrepreneurs event comes in. Barbara Seymour Giordano,  Speechwriter and Presentation Coach, will lead the attendees in an interactive workshop that will cover:

  • What is the lean memorable elevator pitch?
  • Why should the audience care?
  • How to identify the heart of your idea
  • How to grab audience attention right from the start
  • Authentically share your story
  • How to create a conversational tone
  • The importance of crafting a memorable close
  • Presentation delivery basics
  • and so much more!

If you have a pitch that you have been working on that’s even better because Barbara and an investor will offer critiques of the first eight pitches made. So come prepared!

This event will take place on Tuesday, October 8 on the UC Irvine campus. For more details about this exciting event please go to the Event Page and, if you want to improve your entrepreneurship skills, buy a ticket to this event.
