Launching a business is a daunting task but one of the ways to make it less so is by having mentors. Mentors are the kind of people who have been there, done that, and they can help guide you through the entrepreneurial maze. Don’t know what kind of business entity you should use? Knowing someone who has already done that, preferably multiple times, can help walk you through the process.

But we know that not everyone has access to mentors. Getting mentors on your side, especially when you start out for the first time, can be difficult. That is why CSUF Entrepreneurship Chairman of the Board Dr. Mike Ames and Director John Bradley Jackson decided to create Creating New Ventures. In this book you will find more than 150 entries from entrepreneurs, professionals, and subject matter experts of all kinds detailing the most important lessons they have learned throughout their careers.

Part practical advice, part inspiration, this book is perfect for anyone who is an entrepreneur with a thirst for knowledge. The OC Register recently did a write up on this book (found here) and if you are interested in purchasing a copy please contact Director Jackson at jjackson@fullerton.edu.
